MILLINOCKET – Isabelle “Billie” Lane, 76, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. She was born May 26, 1929, in Millinocket, the daughter of James A. and Harriett M. (Brown) Boutaugh. She worked for many years at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church as a Sunday School Superintendent, a member of the Altar Guild, women’s guild, member of the choir, she was also the president of the Maine ECW (Episcopal Church Women). She enjoyed her camp on South Twin Lake, doing various crafts and was an avid collector. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Billie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alton R. Lane; her two daughters, Carla and her husband, Arthur Birt, of Cumberland Center and Wendy and Gerald Doiron of Lincoln; two brothers, Wendell and his wife, Suzanne Boutaugh, of Millinocket and Carl Boutaugh of Patten; four sisters, Natalie Boutaugh of Houlton, Christine Boutaugh of Millinocket, Harriett Briggs of Millinocket and Rosetta Myrick of Florida; three grandchildren, Justin Birt, Adam Birt and Christopher Doiron; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gladys, Vaughn, Jim and Gary. Friends may call 10 a.m.- noon Wednesday, Nov. 23, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Funeral Service will be celebrated 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Carolyn Metzler and Deacon Robert Landry officiating.
