FORT KENT – Mary Michaud, 78, died peacefully Dec. 7, 2006, at High View Manor Nursing Home, Madawaska. Mary was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Raoul P. and Marguerite Michaud. Spending time in her garden was one of Mary’s favorite pastimes. Mary was a nurse for more than 50 years, having worked in Boston and at Northern Maine Medical Center, Fort Kent. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sisters, Cora Michaud, who she lived with in the Wallagrass family homestead, which is more than two centuries old; her sister, Nina Ouellette of Saco; several cousins, Irene Bouchard and Mildred Bossie, both of Fort Kent and Lorraine Stoddard of Nashua, N.H. In addition to both parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Milton Michaud. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Wallagrass.
