WHITING, N.J. – Mary Shirley Lukacs, 72, of Crestwood Village I, Whiting, N.J., died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick, N.J. She was born in South River, N.J., and resided in Somerset, N.J., and Belfast. Mary was a good and faithful servant of God. She was a daily communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, N.J. Mary was a homemaker, and devoted mother and grandmother. She belonged to the Lioness Club, Hungarian Club and Rosary Altar Society of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Elmer. She is survived by her children, Mary Beth Francis and her husband, Bill, Judith Wheatley and her husband, Carl, Barbara Smith and her husband, Michael, Michael Lukacs and his wife, Rosalie, and Susan Dean and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Lucas, Bradley, Courtney, Susan, Paul, Mara, Ally, Peter, Julia, William, Lexi and Patrick; cousins, Dorothy Canonico, Lori Grobelny and Madeline Luff. A funeral liturgy will be held noon Friday, Dec. 28, at All Saints Chapel, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, N.J. A memorial service will be in the spring at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Belfast. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21203-7090.
