JONESBORO – Mary (Thaxter) Snowdeal, 87, passed away Jan. 26, 2007, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Addison, the daughter of the late Arthur T. and Ethel (Morse) Thaxter. During her life, Mary worked in several sardine factories and picked out crab meat for 29 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Willis Snowdeal; three sons, Kenneth, Ordway and wife, Rebecca and Harper and wife, Linda; one sister, Evelyn; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grand-children; and two great-great-grandchildren. The youngest grandchild, Amanda Jo, spent most of her time with Gram and Papa, while her parents worked. She was predeceased by sisters, Charlotte and Madge; a brother, Arlington. Visiting hours will take place 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
