WASHBURN – Maurice D. White Sr., 63, died Aug. 20, 2005, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Wade the son of William and Elizabeth (Doherty) White. He had been employed by McCain Foods for more than 34 years. Surviving him are four sons, Maurice White Jr., Daniel White, Andrew White and his wife, Kelly, Travis White and his wife, Cassie, all of Wade; two daughters, Kimberly Grant and her husband, Terrence and April Curtis and her husband, Maxwell, all of Presque Isle; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Milford White of Wade, Bernard White of Mars Hill and William White Jr. of Washburn; two sisters, Geraldine Turbull of Massachusetts and Shirley Brown of Caribou; a sister-in-law, Kathy White of Washburn. Predeceasing him were brothers and sisters, Alden White, Malcolm White, Eugene White, Phyllis Day and Gwendolyn Drost. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Extension Cemetery in Washburn.
