CARIBOU – Maurice S. Martin, 62, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at his residence. He was born Dec. 15, 1944, in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, the son on Urbain and Edmay (Mazerolle) Martin. Maurice was a talented carpenter, excelling both in framing and finish work. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and four wheeling. He was a member of AA and helped others. He is survived by his companion of many years, Guilda Thibodeau of Caribou; two sons, Robert Martin of Louisiana and Shane Martin of Massachusetts; two special ladies, who were like daughters, Fay Thibodeau of Kittery and Denise Thibodeau of Bangor; a grandson, Avery Thibodeau; two sisters, Sylvia Bouchard and a special brother-in-law, Wallace, of Huron, Ohio, and Cecile Fhel and her husband, Herman, of Hollister, Calif. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Maurice will be sadly missed by two special little friends, Lacie and Hunter, who were mans best friend. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Claude and Reno; and a sister, Rena. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, with the Rev. Clement Thibodeau officiating.
