WINTERPORT – Maxine E. Whittier, 60, died Dec. 14, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 7, 1943, in Appleton, the daughter of Maurice and Erma (Hart) Butler. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Whittier of Winterport; one son, Maurice Furbush of Bangor; one daughter and her husband, Melissa and Bobby Rideout of Winterport; one sister and her husband, Alice and Earl Nickerson of Belfast; two special granddaughters, Tiffany and Darcy Rideout; one special niece, Erma Stover of Belfast; several other nieces and nephews; and special friends, Maggie Pascal, and Cathy Partridge, both of Bangor. Maxine was predeceased by her two half-sisters, Priscilla Bailey, and Phyllis Aldus. Gifts in her memory may be sent to Arthur Whittier, P.O.
