CASCO – Maxine R. Mannke, 78, of Casco, loving mother of Cheryl (Archer) Michaud, died unexpectedly Nov. 30, 2003, at home. She was born April 18, 1925. She graduated with honors, as valedictorian from Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln. In addition to her husband, Joseph Mannke, she is survived by one daughter, Cheryl M. Michaud and her husband, James, of Westbrook; grandson, George S. Bono Jr. and wife, Amy; great-grandson, Sam of North Attleboro, Mass.; granddaughter, Cindy Archer of Massachusetts; and sister, Brenna Thornton of Old Town. Her beloved son, Lester “Buddy” R. Archer predeceased Maxine in 1979. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at the White Memorial Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 97 Allen Avenue, Portland ME.
