GLENBURN – Michael A. Blanchard, 58, died peacefully April 6, 2007, at his home. He was born Dec. 30, 1948, in Bangor, the son of Asa W. Blanchard and Eulalia A. (Mooney) Blanchard. Mike worked for more than 30 years at Sylvania, getting perfect attendance for most of them. He enjoyed playing and umpiring softball with all of his friends from work. He was loved in so many ways and will never be forgotten. Sadly missed by many, especially his wife of 40 years, Linda Blanchard of Glenburn; and three children, Michelle Hicks and her husband, Mike, Jennifer Blanchard and Jeffrey Blanchard and his wife, Robyn, all of Glenburn. His four grandchildren, Autumn, Sarah, Joshua and Cassandra, will miss their joking and teasing “Grumpy” very much. He is also survived by sisters and brothers, Connie Lovrencic of Pennsylvania, Tim Blanchard of Colorado, Carolyn Blanchard of Mattawamkeag, Terry Blanchard of East Corinth, Robin Snook of Hudson, Mark Blanchard of Bangor; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Peter.
