LAMOINE – Michael Alan Kief, 46, went to be with the Lord, Feb. 17, 2005. He was born March 9, 1958, the son of John H. Kief Jr., of Hancock and Marie E. (Hodgkins) Kief of Franklin. He was a certified body shop technician for Ashmore Bros. of Ellsworth and lastly employed by Ace Trucking of Hancock. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a Hawk Missile crewmember. He loved camping, hunting, and fishing. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by a son, Corey Michael Kief of Ottawa Lake, Mich.; and a very special companion, Brenda Johnson and her three sons, Eric, Aaron and Travis Johnson of Lamoine; one sister, Laurie Anne Troyer of Rocky Hill, Conn.; one half sister, Sharon Liebig of Port Charlotte, Fla.; stepmother, Joanne Kief of Hancock; two stepsisters, Sherryanne Kief of Hancock and Lisa Wharff of Freeport; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held 10 a.m. Feb. 26, at the Franklin Veterans Club in Franklin. Spring interment is planned.
