MILFORD – Michael Edwin Smart, 49, passed away unexpectedly April 19, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Dec. 9, 1958, in Bangor, the son of the late Paul and Alice (Coffin) Smart of Old Town. Mike was raised in Old Town and attended Old Town High School. Sports of all kinds were always enjoyed by Mike, but especially the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. Mike had a smile that would light up the room and his laughter was infectious. He will truly be missed by those who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his best friend and companion, Lida Jones of Milford; Shari Smart of Mount Arlington, N.J., and their son, Chad Cole and his fiancee, Beth Lewis, of Greenbush.
