HARRINGTON and QUEENS, N.Y. – Michael “Scottie” Ross, 60, passed away unexpectedly, Oct. 9, 2005, at a Machias hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1944, in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of Georgina L. (MacIntosh) Ross and the late Ian M. Ross. Michael served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the American Legion and VFW. Michael was a champion drummer of Scottish pipe bands. He was a devoted husband, brother and uncle and loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rosalie (Henderson) Ross of Harrington; two sisters, Angela Leo and husband, Salvatore, of Little Neck, N.Y. and Evelyn Scuereb and husband, Joseph, of Jackson Heights, N.Y.; and two nieces and two nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Main Street, Milbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maine Chapter, 170 US Route One, Suite 200, Falmouth, ME 04105.
