CAMDEN – Sherman R. Sullivan Ph.D., 67, husband, of Mary Atkins Sullivan, of Camden, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, in Camden. Sullivan worked at several New York City stock brokerage firms as a security analyst/economist. A child prodigy and brilliant pianist, Sullivan studied with noted pianists and composers. He received his music degree from Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1954 and earned his doctorate of philosophy in economics at New York University, N.Y. In 1998, they moved to Camden. Surviving is his wife, Mary Atkins Sullivan of Camden; a sister-in-law, Carol Atkins and her husband, Frank, of Litchfield, N.H.; several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Stacy. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Camden, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church or the Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice, 22 White St., Rockland, ME 04841.
