CALAIS – Steven Wayne Porter, 24, died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. Steven was born Sept. 27, 1981, in Calais, son of Gary Wayne Porter and Sandra Marie Seelye. He was a member of Sunrise Snowmobile Club in Calais and enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycles, fishing and spending time with his family and children. Steven was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Robert Seelye. Surviving are his father, Gary W. Porter of Calais; his mother, Sandra Connick and husband, John, of St. Stephen, N.B., Canada; a brother, Robbie Seelye of Calais; Steven’s fiance, Jennifer Young and their children, Aaron and Kassidi; grandparents, Frank and Mary Porter of Calais and Leola Seelye of Calais; aunts and uncles, Linda Winchester, Roger Seelye, Kathy Goodine, Robert “Skeet” Seelye, and Doug Porter; several cousins; Jennifer’s parents and special friends, Ella and Edward Young and Jennifer’s sister, Sonya Young and her son, Tyler, all of Calais; and special friends, Jeff Gidney and wife, Heather and Lucas Pelletier. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
