EDDINGTON – Michael Sean French, 20, died unexpectedly April 28, 2005, at his home in Eddington. He was born in Bangor, June 8, 1984, the son of Catherine Marie (Hughes) and William Jay French Jr. Michael was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 2002; and employed by New Hope Hospice. He was an avid sports fan and statistician of all New England sports teams. If you needed a score or a draft pick, Mike knew. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and golf with his family. Surviving in addition to his parents of Eddington; are two brothers, a twin, Matt S. French of Eddington, William J. French III of Portland; one sister, Michelle L. Graves and her husband, Jeffrey M., of Eddington; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Hughes of Bangor; paternal grandparents, Viola M. and William J. French Sr. of Dedham; aunts, uncles and cousins; and his godparents, Arnold and Nancy Burgess. Mike was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard Hughes Sr.; and an aunt, Dianne Hughes. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Gertrude Stone, chaplain of New Hope Hospice, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Those who wish to remember Michael in a special way may make gifts in his memory to a sports scholarship fund to be established in care of Michelle and Jeffrey Graves, 27 Hatcase Pond Road, Eddington, ME 04428.
