MILDRED F. SLAMIN BANGOR and VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Mildred F. Slamin, 74, a native of Bangor, died January 3, 2003, in Virginia Beach, Va. She was born November 14, 1928, one of 14 born to Katherine (Barker) and Wilfred W. Price. While living in Maine she worked at Pilot’s Grill Restaurant and Emple Knitting Mills. She is survived by her son, Robert D. Slamin of Bangor; daughters, Mildred J. Perera of Virginia Beach, Va. and Jeannette M. Hallett of Bangor; four grandchildren, Roy J. Hicks III of Virginia Beach, Va., Robert L. Magee II of Bangor, and Brianne and Robert O. Slamin of Bangor. She was a loving and dedicated mother, sister, and friend. Her kindness and generosity will long be remembered.
