HUDSON – Mildred M. Butt, 75, went home to be with the Lord July 7, 2005. She was born Aug. 15, 1929, at Victoria, Newfoundland, a daughter of Eleazor and Bertha Clarke. She graduated from Grace Hospital nursing program at St. John’s, Newfoundland. For many years she was self-employed as a private duty nurse. After retirement, Mildred and her husband, Hubert, moved to Hudson in 1985, where they designed and built their home. They attended the Solid Rock Church of God in Pittsfield. Hubert predeceased her June 27, 2004. Mildred was a devoted wife and loving mother. She is survived by two daughters, Viola and husband, Bert Willey of Newport, Anita Joy Eaton and her fianc?, Jon Mitchell of Melrose, Mass.; a brother, Basil and his wife, Elizabeth Clarke; and a sister, Lorraine and husband, Frank Snow, all of Newfoundland; three grandchildren, Ralph E. Eaton III, Angela J. Eaton, and Stefanie M. Eaton. Visitation will be private. A graveside funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the Hudson Cemetery, Hudson, with the Rev. Scott Black, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 343 Gorham Road, South Portland, ME 04106.
