MADAWASKA and NASHUA, N.H. – Mona Batty, 70, died Aug. 20, 2005, at a Nashua, N.H., hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Madawaska, the daughter of Edward and Rose (Clavette) Gagnon. She is survived by one son, Blaine Batty of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Monica Batty of Nashua, N.H.; one grandson, Jeremy Batty of Nashua, N.H.; five sisters, Rolande Brans-combe and her husband, Garnet, of Edmundston, N.B., Canada, Phyllis Gauvin and her husband, Norman, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Beatrice Bossie and her husband, Joseph, of Lady Lake, Fla., Carol Michaud and her husband, Renald, of Madawaska, Angela Bossie and her husband, Harold, of Soldier Pond; one brother, Philip Gagnon and his wife, Verna, of Spruce Creek, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Lorette Gagnon of Madawaska; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Batty Sr.; one son, Harry Batty Jr.; and by one brother, Ronald Gagnon. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
