BURLINGTON, Vt. – Monica L. Libby, 44, a resident of Main Street, Monmouth, went to glory to join her Lord and Savior and her dad/papa, Monday afternoon Aug. 7, 2006, at Fletcher Allen Trauma Center in Burlington, Vt., after a sudden illness. She was born July 26, 1962, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of Arthur R. and Helen L. (Degerstrom) Libby. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and companion. She attended Glen Cove Christian Academy and was very active in sports and in the choral group, she had a beautiful singing voice. She was a graduate of Kennebec Valley Christian Academy of Waterville. She worked as a benefits coordinator and part of the team at GHS Data Management in Augusta, working there for more than 20 years; Monica began working there Dec. 6, 1985. Prior to working at GHS, Monica worked as a cashier at Wickes Lumber in Fairfield and Zayres in Augusta. She enjoyed time spent with her son and family. Monica loved animals, particularly horses, she also enjoyed reading, dancing, music, singing, hockey and Mazda cars. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her son, Tyler Libby of Monmouth; her mother, Helen; stepfather, Robert Perkins of Augusta, whom she referred to as Pops; a sister, Kathy Brush and her husband, Charlie and their children, Brian, James and Stephen, of Monmouth; and her companion, Aaron Mistich also of Monmouth. She was predeceased by her father, Arthur R. Libby. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main St., Monmouth. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Cambridge Memorial Garden Cemetery, Route 152, Cambridge. If desired, contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses, in memory of Monica Libby, to the Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main St., Monmouth, ME 04259.
