LINDENHURST, Ill. – Morton C. “Pete” Bartlett, Ph.D., 79, a former 29-year resident of Libertyville, Ill., passed away Nov. 21, 2007. He was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Bridgeport, Conn. Morton was a graduate of the University of Maine and received his master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He was a research scientist at Abbot Labs for 30 years. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn Jean; loving father of Dorothy and Tom Bartlett-Svehla, Robert and Shanna Bartlett, Douglas and Charlotte Bartlett, and William and Becky Bartlett; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be noon until the time of service 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at First Presbyterian Church, Libertyville, Ill.
