ORONO – Ms. Yvonne A. St. Pierre, 75, died Nov. 19, 2006, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Old Town, the daughter of Francis “Frank” and Leah M. (Desjardins) St. Peter. Yvonne was employed by the Catholic Diocese of Portland at Commodity Service in both the Bangor and Portland offices. After the closure of the Portland office, she was employed at Holy Rosary Parish, Caribou. She retired after more than 40 years of service to the Diocese and moved to Orono October 1998. She is survived by three brothers, Randolph of Old Town, F. Leonard of Old Town and Melbourne Beach, Fla., and Lawrence “Clarence” St. Peter of Orono; a sister-in-law, Bernedette St. Peter of Eagle Lake; and a brother-in-law, Lorimer Silk of Clarksville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Harold St. Peter; three sisters, Lorraine Clark, Virginia Lenfest and Josephine Silk. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Bradley. Immediately after the service, all are invited downstairs to the church hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. After cremation, interment will be at Forest Hill, Cemetery, Old Town.
