ALTON – Myles E. Feero Sr., 74, passed away May 7, 2008, after a long illness. He was born March 14, 1934, the son of Leroy and Nino (Moores) Feero Sr. Myles graduated from Old Town High School and then served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1955. Myles worked at Compugraphic Corp., Reading, Mass., and most recently retired from Nautel, Bangor. A loving husband, father and brother, Myles is survived by many family and friends, including his wife, Thelma (Stairs) Feero; their children and spouses, Cheryl and Michael Finneral, Myles Feero Jr., Wayne and Kelly Feero, Frank and Becky Feero and Glenn Feero; two children from a prior marriage, Jesse Feero and Robin Feero; grandchildren, Alyssa, Kristian, Lindsey, Elizabeth, Emelynn, Mercedes, Justin, Jordan, Kenny, Katelynn, Ryan and Gabriel; siblings and their spouses, Jason Feero, Fern Ward, Lillian Wilde, Beatrice Perrigo, Evie Kidder, Nelson Feero, Louise Cox and James Feero; sisters-in-law, Debra DeWitt Ahern and her spouse, Muriel Dally; brother-in-law, Charles Stairs and his spouse; several nieces and nephews, including one close niece, Jessica DeWitt. Myles was predeceased by his parents, Leroy Feero Sr. and Nina (Moors) Feero; his siblings, Leroy Feero Jr. and Ruby Crossman; and a close sister-in-law, Calista “Chris” Stairs. Visiting hours will be held 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will be held 3 p.m. There will be a luncheon immediately after the service at Alton Methodist Church.
