LINCOLN – Myra L. Hurd, 80, wife of Clyde Hurd, died June 3, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Woodville, the daughter of Leroy and Louise (Bowker) Fleming. Myra worked at Workman Hospital years ago and later at Eastern Pulp & Paper. She loved to play cards, going on rides out in the country, and enjoyed eating out in restaurants and public suppers. She also enjoyed bowling and for a number of years was a member of a local ladies bowling league. She was a devoted housewife and mother. In addition to her husband of 58 years, Clyde, they were married Oct. 18, 1947, she is survived by two sons, Garland Hurd and Carroll Hurd and his wife, Karen; a daughter, Dawn Lyons and her husband, Brent, all of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Christopher Hurd and Carrie Enos; two brothers, George Fleming and Hazel of Woodville and Leroy Fleming Jr. and Carol of Medway; a sister-in-law, Kay Fleming of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Lynn, Carlton and Stanley. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery, followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments at the funeral home.
