WESTMINSTER, S.C. – Myrtle Anna Grant LeBlanc, 90, of 421 Kenwood Drive, Westminster, S.C., died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at National Healthcare in Anderson, S.C. Born Jan. 2, 1914, in Milford, she was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a great teacher of second grades at St. Joseph School in Old Town, and a former housemother at the Perkins School in Massachusetts. Survivors include daughter, Janice Wells and husband, Stephen, of Westminster, S.C.; sisters, Ruth Faller of Massachusetts, and Thais Hatch of Florida; four granddaughters, Mrs. Leslie Heath of Westminster, S.C., Mrs. Lisa Meier of West Union, S.C., Mrs. Debra Ambs of Brunswick, and Miss Kristen LeBlanc of Methuen, Mass.; four great-grandchildren, Jared and Siara Ambs of Brunswick, Michael and Matthew Joseph Heath of Westminster, S.C.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Henry LeBlanc; parents, Harry Albert and Margaret Hesseltine Grant; son, Gerald “Jerry” LeBlanc; eight sisters; and one brother. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, from the St. Paul The Apostle Church in Seneca, S.C., with Father Gerry Alyward officiating. Her remains will be interred at a later date at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Old Town. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at the Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster, S.C. The family is at their respective homes.
