BANGOR – Natalie Sue Lewis, 26, died May 14, 2004, in Bangor. She was born Nov. 21, 1977, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Son-ye Yu and Greg Lewis. On this day a bright and promising light was removed from our lives. Natalie was a caring and beautiful person that always saw the good in everyone. Natalie enjoyed many things in her life. Her daughter, Taylor, was her one true love and the bond that she shared with her sister, Tina, was a special tie that never wavered. Natalie was a unique and special person, who endured many difficult moments in her life, but her determination and hard work turned her life on a positive path and she was looking forward to a bright and promising future. She is survived by her mother, Son-ye Yu and her special friend, Thom Carroll; her father, Greg Lewis and special friend, Rachel Urquhart; her daughter, Taylor Thurston; a special sister, Tina Lewis; very special niece, Saige Goodwin; and a very special nephew, Logan Goodwin; maternal grandmother, Chong Yu; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Maureen Lewis and Helen and John Harrington; many aunts, uncles; and many cousins. Natalie was predeceased by her cousin, Mark G. Lossing II; and her maternal grandfather, Sung-Yu. Friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday. At the family’s request, gifts in Natalie’s memory may be made to the First National Bank of Southwest Harbor, in care of Felice Jones, for a scholarship fund for her daughter, “Taylor.”
