ORONO – Necita P. Goewey, 85, died March 4, 2006, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. She was born Sept. 17, 1920, in Stockton Springs, the daughter of Gustaf and Martha (Wilcox) Engberg. She had been a former resident of Stockton Springs and had been employed as a restaurant cook for many years. She is survived by a sister, Olivia Aitken of Corinth; a brother, Ralph Holmes of South Carolina and nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at the Corinthian Cemetery in Corinth in the spring. Cremation arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Rd., Corinth.
