SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill., and BRADFORD – Noah Allen, 5, born July 25, 2002, in Belleville, Ill., died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Children’s Hospital, St. Louis. Noah had attended preschool at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., and was currently enrolled to begin kindergarten in the fall. He also attended First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, Illinois. Noah loved motorcycles and trains, collecting rocks and giving them as gifts or throwing them in the water, taking and hiding items from his sisters and taking pictures, especially of his feet. He also had a special love and way with animals. Noah was a very interesting boy. On many days he would come down the stairs wearing all five of his favorite shirts with his most favorite green misbuttoned wrinkled shirt on top. When asked why, he would say, “Because I like them.” He would go out the door wearing his five shirts, camo pants and no shoes ready for whatever adventure he would encounter that day. Noah’s deep blue eyes, his smile, his laugh, and tremendous curiosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Noah is survived by his parents, Tech. Sgt. Travis and Dawn (Funaiole) Allen of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; two sisters, Emily and Elizabeth Allen; paternal great-grandparents, Philip and Geneva Allen of Bradford; paternal grandparents, Donna and Elwin Allen of Bradford; maternal grandparents, Paul and JoAnn Funaile of Glenburn; and many aunts, uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles. Visitation will be held 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Aug. 1, at First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, Illinois, where a funeral service will be held noon Wednesday, Aug. 1, with the Rev. Skip Leininger officiating. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at Williams Cemetery, Bradford.
