STOCKHLOM – Noella L. Ouellette, 80, died Nov. 3, 2006, at a Caribou nursing home. She was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Stockholm, the daughter of George and Anna (Nightingale) Lagassie. Noella worked many years as a cook at restaurants and other places. She was a gold star mother and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Noella loved to play bingo and enjoyed knitting, sewing and baking. She was also a communicant of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Stockholm. She is survived by her children, Nancy Rossignol of Stockholm, Ronnie and his wife, Sharon, of Stockholm, Betty St. Pierre and her husband, Dave, of Carmel; a daughter-in-law, Linda LaJoie of St. Leonard, New Brunswick; a brother, Clifford Lagassie and his wife, Juanita, of Long Meadow, Mass.; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Ouellette; a son, Jerry; sisters, Mary Jane Plourde, Elise Fassett, Lillian Dubay, Jackie Noble and Martina Howie; and son-in-law, Claude Rossignol. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Sunday with a prayer of committal being shared at the funeral home.
