BANGOR – Ruth Litwack, 83, died Nov. 4, 2006, at her home. She was born May 24, 1923, in New York City, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Panza) Joseph. Ruth was a loving wife and mother and a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed reading, writing and editing. Ruth loved crocheting baby blankets for her grandchildren. She enjoyed the theater and listening to music. It was fun for her to prepare heart healthy recipes for her family. Ruth moved to Bangor with her husband in 1994, to be close to her children. Ruth was married April 20, 1948, to Herbert Litwack, who predeceased her in 2004. She is survived by her children, Dr. Robert Litwack of Richmond, Va., Beth Litwack of Bangor, Billy Litwack and wife, Jane, of Bangor; three grandchildren, Emily Litwack, Dan Litwack and Joe Litwack. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Beth Abraham Cemetery, Bangor. Gifts in her memory may be made to Beth Abraham Sisterhood, 145 York St., Bangor, ME 04401.
