WOODLAND – Norma Arlene Drew, 92, wife of the late Hannibal Drew, died Nov. 1, 2006, in Caribou, after a brief illness. She was born July 7, 1914, in Caribou the daughter of Blair and Laura Chapman. She married Hank Drew June 22, 1947 and together they resided on the family farm in Woodland for the rest of their lives. She and Hank started a dairy business in 1948. She enjoyed the view of cattle being in her fields for nearly 60 years. Her dream still lives and cows are still being milked on the family farm. In latter years, Norma loved to sit on the front porch and swing. She enjoyed television shows including Price is Right, David Letterman and as many Lawrence Welk reruns as she could get. And of course, a Mike’s donut with her morning coffee. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Hank in 1993; her son, Danna Drew in 1999; one sister, Ruby Connors; and three brothers, Warren, Orland and Willard Chapman. “Grammy Drew” is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ida Drew of Woodland; two grandsons, Thomas Drew of Woodland and Dana Drew and his wife, Kristel, of Sabatis; three very special great-grandchildren, Sidney Drew age 6, Madison Drew age 2, and Hunter Drew who turned 1 the day of his great-granny’s passing; one brother, Llewellyn Chapman of Caribou; several nieces and nephews. The family also extends a special thank you to a special sister-in-law, Avis Chapman of Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with the Rev. John Kiehn officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. May God speed and bless this “sweet sweet old lady.”
