EDDINGTON – Norma G. (Ballard) Robertson, 70, wife of the late Herbert A. Robertson, died Dec. 31, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 9, 1937, in Enfield, the daughter of Norman Coffin and Eva M. Ballard. She attended Bangor schools and graduated from Bangor High School. Norma and her late husband, Herbert, founded Robertson Glass Co. of Eddington, April 1, 1983, which is now operated by her son, Herbert Jr. She was a member of North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church, Brewer Eagle’s Club and the grange. She will be remembered for her love of crocheting gifts for others. Norma was devoted to loving and caring for her family. Surviving are two children, Herbert “Rusty” Robertson Jr. and his partner, Dale Nickerson, Deborah D. (Robertson) Rolfe, all of Eddington; seven grandchildren, Jaremy Robertson of New Hampshire, Jesica Tall of Clifton, David Robertson of Eddington, Derrick Robertson of Holden, Sara Parent of New York, Elizabeth Parent of Eddington and Hannah Rolfe of Eddington; seven great-grandchildren; a devoted life partner, Calvin A. Robertson of Eddington, who loved and provided for her every need; four stepsisters, three stepbrothers, several nieces and nephews; and a special ex-son-in-law, Guy A. Rolfe of Eddington. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Kevin, in November 2007; and three brothers. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Reeves, pastor of North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring interment will be at Blackman Cemetery, Eddington.
