PRESQUE ISLE – Norma M. Bugbee, 71, died Oct. 25, 2006, at her home. She was born April 18, 1935, in Caribou, the daughter of Sullivan and Gertrude (Pike) Russell. Norma attended the Calvary Baptist Church, Westfield. She had been employed by the New England Telephone Co. as an operator for more than 13 years and then The Aroostook Medical Center as a unit secretary for more than 20 years. Norma was a member of the Pioneer Operators Club for many years. She is survived by a son and his wife, Russell W. and Peggy Bugbee of Mapleton; two daughters, Katharine J. Bourgoine of Mapleton and Cindy L. Deschaine and her husband, Stephen, of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Shawn Bugbee, Jimmy Vaughn, Isaac Vaughn and Paul and Peter Deschaine; sister, Judith Schwartzmann of Wisconsin; two aunts, Kathleen Russell and Ella Mae Thayer; an uncle, Frank Pike; a special cousin, Omar Toner; a special friend, Doris Bohovich and several nieces and nephews. Norma was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Hitchings. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery.
