ST. AGATHA – Norman Michaud, 84, died Dec. 23, 2007, while a patient at a Bangor hospital. Norman was the son of Maxime and Ida (Boucher) Michaud. Norman had been a resident at High View Manor, Madawaska, for a little more than one year. He was a former employee of Fraser Paper Co., where he worked for 25 years as a rewinder operator. Norman married Cecelia (Jacques) Michaud, in 1946. Together for 61 years, Norman and Cecelia raised 11 children, all of whom are still living except for son, Danny. The living children are Bernette of Connecticut, Lester and wife, Martha, and Paul, all of St. Agatha, Nelson and wife, Cindy, Jim and wife, Tina, all of Opelika, Ala., Patricia and June of Grand Isle, Susan and husband, Frank, of San Antonio, Tom and wife, Eileen, of Madawaska, Colette and husband, John, Denise and husband, Mike, all of Virginia. Norman was the grandfather of 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The Michaud family is very grateful for the kind sentiments and well wishes expressed by so many who knew Norman and his family. In compliance with Norman’s wishes, there will be no viewing. His ashes will be held by his wife, Cecelia, until the spring when a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, St. Agatha Church. A burial will be held after at the lower cemetery. Anyone wishing to make donations in memory of Norman may do so to their preferred charity or to St. Agatha Public Library.
