EAGLE LAKE – Norman Pelletier, 74, died unexpectedly Jan. 19, 2007. He was born July 10, 1932, at Eagle Lake, the son of Phydime and Nathalie Pelletier. Norman worked in Meriden, Conn., for many years as head mechanic for Cumberland Farm Co. He was a member of the Fort Kent VFW Lozier O’Grandy Post No. 9606. Norman was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, and hunting, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Frieda (Martin) Pelletier of Eagle Lake; four daughters, Lillian and her husband, Kenny Weiss, of Ocklawaha, Fla., Sherley and her husband, Steve Chabre, of Terryville, Conn., Wanda and her husband, Dale Caron, of Fort Kent, and Doreen and her husband, Keith Plourde, of Fort Kent; nine grandchildren, Robert, Eric, Christopher, Jonathon, Kevin, Justin, Randy, Jenna, and Cody; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Caithlyn; four brothers, Phydime and his wife, Doris Pelletier, of Fort Kent, Paul Emile Pelletier of Cannan, Patrick and his wife, Betty Pelletier, of Plantsville, Conn., and Jay and his wife, Kathy Pelletier, of Bristol, Conn.; and five sisters, Theresa Soucy of Eagle Lake, Norma and her husband, Allen Blanchette, of Rock Tavern, N.Y., Margaret and her husband, Adrian Castonguey, of Windsor, Conn., Bernadette and her husband, Elmer Levesque, of Southington, Conn., and Lucille and her husband, Jerome Morin, of Bristol, Conn. In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and Alfred Pelletier; and one sister, Bertha Tardie. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be held May 11, at the parish cemetery.
