BREWER – Olive I. Hall, 87, died Sept. 27, 2004, at a Brewer healthcare center. She was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Haynesville, the daughter of David and Elvira (Kelley) Bailey. Olive was employed as a sales clerk for many years working for JJ Newberry, Freese’s Dept. Store and Miller’s Dept. Store. She was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer. Surviving are three children, William S. Hall and his wife, Shirley, of Brewer, Sandra Walker of Bangor, and Roberta Carter of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, William S. Hall III of Eddington, Stephen Walker of Brewer, Dale Carter and Rhonda Hardwick, both of Hancock; three great-grandchildren, one sister, Inez Washburn of Brewer; several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by her “other daughter,” Susan Cross. She was predeceased by her husband, Stuart A. Hall in 1977; two brothers, Vinal and Fernald Bailey; and six sisters, Christine and Lottie Kelley, Ives Hutchinson, Nellie Savage, Edith Elward, and Myrtle Spencer. Olive’s family would like to express many thanks to the staff of Brewer Rehab for the care they provided. Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Calvary Baptist Church, 61 State St., Brewer, with Gary LaClaire, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
