TRENTON and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Olive M. Bunker, 81, wife of Wilfred A. Bunker, died Feb. 14, 2004, at Zephyrhills, Fla. She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Sullivan, the daughter of Archie and Ella Bunker. She graduated from Sullivan High School and married William E. Jackson of Sullivan. They made their home in Ellsworth until 1957 when they moved to Bar Harbor. Olive was employed as a bookkeeper for J. H. Butterfield, Clark Coal Co., and Bar Harbor Water Co. After Bill’s death in 1976, she met Wilfred Bunker, owner of Beal and Bunker, Inc., of Cranberry Island. They married in 1978 and spent several years on Cranberry Island. They spent the last 10 years between their homes in Trenton and Zephyrhills, Fla. She was active in the Bayside Grange of Trenton and enjoyed camping, golf and music. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Edward B. Jackson and his companion, Melanie Sue Cannon, of Bar Harbor; her daughter, Nancy J. Parsons of Hancock and her companion, Robert Mace; stepson, David Bunker of Cranberry Island; stepdaughters, Maryanne Lamoine of Swans Island and Joyce DePalmer and her husband, Paul, of Portland; three grandchildren, Jenifer Jackson Trevett of Winchester, Mass., Christopher Parsons of Bar Harbor and Heather Parsons of Hancock; as well as several stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Morgan and Caroline Trevett of Winchester, Mass. and Shelby Parsons of Bar Harbor. At her request, there will be a private burial at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor in the spring.
