CARIBOU – Oneil Plourde, 85, died Feb. 23, 2005, at Caribou. He was born Aug. 8, 1919, in Stockholm, the son of Pete and Rose (Paradis) Plourde. Mr. Plourde was a self-employed lumberjack for many years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was also a Fourth Degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus. Surviving in addition to his wife of more than 65 years, Irene (Fournier) Plourde of Caribou; are seven daughters and five sons-in-law, Joan Ouellette and her fianc?, Blaine Bells, of Killingworth, Conn., Marlene and Hubert Keaton, of Caribou, Alice and Robert Ouellette of Madawaska Lake, Patsy and Patrick Levesque, Helen and Steve Haines and Ann and Paul Morin, all of Caribou, and Susan Patrincik and her fianc?, Richard Russo, of Lisbon Falls; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Nelson and Ann Plourde of Westfield, Mass., Norman Plourde of Stockholm, Francis and Dianne Plourde of Newcastle, Tommy and Debbie Plourde of Old Orchard Beach and Jimmy and Jolene Plourde of Brunswick; three brothers, Clifford and Harvey Plourde of Florida and Albert Plourde of Connecticut; two sisters, Pauline Fortier and her husband, Albert and Madeline Vaillier and her husband, Lucien, both of Saco; 32 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Gail Keaton Barker; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Plourde; four brothers and one sister. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Fr. Thanh Nguyem and Fr. Clement Thibodeau, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
