LINCOLN – Randolph R. Delano, 84, husband of Freda (Haynes) Delano, died Feb. 23, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 23, 1920, in Lincoln, the son of Otto and Leta (Reed) Delano. Randolph was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked for many years as a millwright at Lincoln Pulp & Paper. He loved to garden, and was an avid fisherman. He especially enjoyed fly fishing, and tied his own flies He was very special to both his grandsons and his great-grandson. In addition to his wife, Freda; he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey of Bangor, and Gregory and his wife, Robbie, of Howland; two grandsons, Donald Delano and Candace, and Randy Delano; a great-grandson, Donald Delano Jr.; two half sisters, Colleen Tuscan and Joyce Moore, both of Lincoln; a brother-in-law, Phil Eaton of Ellsworth; a sister-in-law, Marguerite Westgate and her husband, Alvah; and a brother-in-law, Jerome Haynes, all of Lincoln. He also leaves special friends, Doug Dill, Richard Dill, Keith Emery and Richard Savage. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clayton Crocker officiating. Spring interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
