MILLINOCKET – Oniel L. Thibodeau, 73, died at a Bangor hospital, Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006. He was born in Plaisted, Sept. 9, 1932, the son of Daniel and Annie (Martin) Thibodeau. Oneil worked for Great Northern Paper Company for 34 years as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 1986. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War and a member of the VFW. He and his wife, Verna, enjoyed their many camping trips every summer to Timberland Acres RV Campground in Trenton. He was an avid motorhome traveler and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Verna M. (Pelletier) Thibodeau of Millinocket; six daughters, Sandra and husband, Kevin Ryan, of Canton, Brenda and husband, Doug Alley, of Millinocket, Debbie and James Qualey of Benedicta, Rhonda and Gary Birmingham of Enfield, Donna and Stanley Graham of Medway, Peggy and Herman DeLoge of Medway; one brother, Galen Thibodeau and his wife, Cindy, of Millinocket; two sisters, Nancy Sabatini of Michigan and Kathleen Russell of Arizona; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of R. L. Bouchard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket.
