EXETER, N.H. – Pastor Harold E. Small, 74, died Oct. 24, 2006, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, Exeter, N.H., after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 8, 1932, in Eastport, the son of Chester and Frances (Oliver) Small. He was a pastor at Burning Heart Ministries. He attended Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill., and Gordon College, Wenham, Mass. He was a very skilled photographer and he also enjoyed fishing. His family includes his wife of 54 years, Anna (McKeen) Small of Fremont, N.H.; four sons, Philip Small of Candia, N.H., Peter Small of Eastport, Stephen Small of Chester, N.H., and Timothy Small of Fremont, N.H.; 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, five nieces and several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Small of Springfield, Mass.; and a sister, Caroline Fantozzi of Eastport. This is to announce heaven has a new resident, Pastor Harold E. Small. During his temporary residence here with us, it was his sole desire to teach as many as would listen of his permanent home, a place with no taxes, no pain, and no sorrow, only Jesus’ unfailing love. He was a close friend to all who knew him. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Maiden- Petrin Funeral Home, 4 Corners, Candia, N.H. A celebration service will take place 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Sweetser Farm, 75 Ledge Farm Road, Nottingham, N.H.
