RUMFORD – Patricia Joanne Oliver, 59, died on June 19, 2004, at her home with her loving family by her side. Patricia was born on Nov. 14, 1944, in Mexico, ME, the daughter of Irving Joseph Watson and Margaret B. Roy. Patricia graduated from Mexico High School in 1961, and moved away from the area for more than 35 years, returning in 1998. She worked in a professional insurance environment as a customer service representative most of her life. On May 9, 1997, she married Norman Oliver of Orono. Patricia loved roller skating, dancing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with friends and her children and grandchildren. Patricia is survived by a daughter, Christine Lessa of Massachusetts; son, David Lessa and his wife, Sarah, of Arlington, Va.; stepsons, Joe and his wife, Billi Jo Oliver, Dan Oliver; stepdaughter, Lisa Oliver of Wyoming; brothers, John Watson, Joseph R. “Spider” Watson and wife, Jackie, of Winterport, Frank Watson of Mexico; sister, Margaret and husband, Dan Tobin, of South Portland; grandchildren, James, Madison, Kristi, Morgan, Blake, Dempsey, Kassie, Kayenne. A memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at St. Theresa’s Church, Brown Street, Mexico.
