BUCKSPORT – Patricia R. Stewart, 78, died July 20, 2006, at a Bangor care facility. She was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Bucksport, the daughter of C. Archie and Bertha Heath (Wheat) Ripley. She was educated in Bucksport Schools and was a member of the Franklin Street United Methodist Church, Bucksport. She was also a member of the Vashti Rebekah Lodge No. 35 for more than 50 years, the Grand Lodge of Rebekah’s, Grand-A Sha-High and the Duck Cove Extension. She was a 4-H Leader for more than 35 years and also a member of the Hancock County Leaders Association. She was involved with Bucksport Senior Citizens and served as a board member for more than 15 years. Patricia is survived by her son, Daniel Stewart Jr. and his wife, Nancy R., of Bucksport; daughter, Pamela A. Geagan and husband, Gregory, of Orrington; grandsons, V. James Stewart of Bucksport and Daniel “Tiger” Stewart and his wife, Jeannie, of Bucksport; granddaughter, Allison A. Geagan of Orrington; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Dylan, Cassidy and Rylee Mae, all of Bucksport; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many special friends, including June Maguire. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Stewart Sr.; two brothers, Sidney Ripley and W. Stanley Ripley. Pat’s family would like to thank the staff of Stillwater Healthcare for the loving care they provided. Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 21 at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Interment will be at Silver Lake Cemetery, Bucksport. A gathering of conversation and refreshment will be held after the service at the Franklin Street United Methodist Church, Bucksport.
