HOULTON – Robert Wright, 73, died July 19, 2006, at Bangor. He was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Houlton, the son of John and Theodosia (Folsom) Wright. Robert was a member of the Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. He worked as a machinist for Smith & Wesson until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved working in his garden. Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edith (Brewer) Wright; eight children, Robert Jr. and Susanne Wright, Roberta and Travis Hand, Brenda and Brent Bailey, Rodney Wright and Andrea Bickford, Rita and Kent Spaulding, Barbara Wright, Randy and Kara Wright and Ricky Wright, all of Houlton; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Wright and his wife, Rose; sisters, Jean Emery, Mary Arch, Maxine Gildred and her husband, Buddy and Elizabeth Cone and her husband, Carlton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Junior Wright. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
