MILBRIDGE – Patrick “Frenchie” Pitre, 70, went to be with the Lord March 5, 2006, after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born April 24, 1935, in Quebec, Canada. He grew up in Bathurst, N.B. Patrick came to the United States in 1966, as a sheet metal worker. He had several jobs all over the states and finally settled in Milbridge. No matter where Patrick went, he was well liked and will be greatly missed by everyone. He was predeceased by his father, Harry Pitre and mother, Adele Boudreau Duguay. He is survived by his wife, Linda R. Pitre; daughter, Linda Pitre of Montreal, Canada; step-daughter, Brenda Ridley and friend, Kris Kent, of West Bridgewater, Mass.; three step-sons, Craig Ridley and wife, Shelly, of Ellsworth, Mike Ridley and wife, Linda, of Bellevue, Neb. and Scott Ridley of Georgia; a sister, Albertine Doucet of Moncton, N.B.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Milbridge Congregational Church, 10 Bridge St., Milbridge, with the Rev. Joyce Ingrisano, officiating.
