MEDWAY – Pauline J. Beathem, 84, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully March 6, 2006, at a Bangor nursing facility under the loving care of the staff. She was born June 24, 1921, in East Millinocket, the daughter of Erma and Everett Lyons. Pauline married Harold C. Beathem Sept. 26, 1941 and they were happily married and constant companions for 55 years, until his death in 1997. She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Ray and Fay Lyons. She is survived by a brother, Ora Lyons and wife, Elaine, of East Millinocket; three daughters, Jean Moore and husband, Harold, of Medway, Linda Dunmore of Medway and Jeri Beathem of East Millinocket; a special nephew, Prince Lyons and wife, Sue, of Medway; three grandchildren, Patrick Moore of Burlington, Hope Boyd and husband, Glenn, of Medway and Paula Rouleau and husband, Tony, of Bangor; five great-grandchildren, Sonya, Kevin, Kate, Emily and Bryan; and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Pauline’s life, 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Hope and Glenn Boyd’s house, 99 Dickey Moore Rd., Medway. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the First Congregational Church in East Millinocket, with Pastor Andrew Macleod, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauline’s memory to the First Congregational Church, 11 Maple St., East Millinocket, ME 04430. Envelopes will be available at the church or donations may be mailed.
