EDDINGTON – Pauline G. (Cote) Voteur, 74, passed away July 7, 2008. After a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer, she is now resting peacefully with the Lord. Pauline was born in Lewiston, the daughter of Donat and Lumina Cote. She had been a resident of Eddington for the past 45 years. Pauline enjoyed quilting and reading; she especially loved the subject of angels and had collected many throughout the years. Her children and grandchildren were the world to her and she loved spending time with them whenever she could. Pauline was also a proud member of Holy Family Church. She was the store manager at Loring, Short and Harmon for eight years, and retired from the town of Holden, where she was a town clerk in 1999. Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Voteur; her six children, Robert and his close friend, Samantha, of Maine, Diane Disanto of Massachusetts, Michael and his wife, Christine, of Maine, David and his wife, Carol, of Maine, James and his wife, Melissa, of New Hampshire and Debbie Farley and her husband, Shaun, of Connecticut; her 10 grandchildren, Sean and Donald Voteur, Anthony Disanto, Jenna and Lauren Voteur, Ashley Voteur, Hannah and Christian Voteur, and Cody and Ryan Farley; and her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Emond; many nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Joseph Cote. The family thanks Dr. Segal at CancerCare of Maine and the girls at the Infusion Therapy Clinic at St. Joseph Hospital for all their care and compassion that they had given to Pauline. The family will be receiving friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, at Holy Family Church, 429 Main St., Old Town. After Mass, family and friends are invited to share their memories of Pauline at a luncheon in the parish hall.
