LIMESTONE – Mrs. Pearl R. Durinski, 96, wife of the late Albert Durinski, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 6, 2003, at a Caribou healthcare facility, after a long illness. She was born Feb. 15, 1907, at Limestone, the daughter of Alexander and Sena (Clausen) Brinkman. Pearl graduated salutatorian from Limestone High School and attended the Portland School of Business. She was employed as a medical secretary by Dr. Pines for many years and served as dispatcher for the Limestone Police and Fire Departments while residing over the fire station, a position she held for 25 years. Pearl was a dedicated member of the Church of the Advent in Limestone and was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Limestone and of the Limestone Grange. Pearl was an avid gardener, a wonderful cook, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother with a special affection for animals. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband in 1974 and four brothers, Fredrick, Herbert, Clarence and Ralph Brinkman; three sisters, Eva Waterman, Marie Greenier, and Charlene Chapman; two grandchildren, Peter and Mari-beth Martin. She is survived by one son, Mark Durinski of Limestone; two daughters, Jacquelyn Martin of Fort Fairfield, Ruth Harders and her husband, David of Berkshire, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Patti Voisine and her husband, Gregory, Tim Martin and his wife, Dottie, all of Fort Fairfield, David Martin and his wife, Suzie, of Mexico, N.Y., Jennifer Hayes and her husband, Chris, of Woburn, Mass., Michael Harders of Berkshire, N.Y., Ann Robinson and her husband, Daniel, of Oxford; 10 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at the Church of the Advent, Church Street, Limestone. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at the Church of the Advent with the Rev. Robert Smith and the Rev. Susan Murphy officiating. Interment will be private and will take place at a later date. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held at the Church of the Advent Parish Hall immediately after the funeral service.
