WEST ENFIELD – To the shock of her family, God, in his infinite wisdom decided to take Phyllis home, March 6, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1927, in West Enfield, the daughter of Tobin S. and Emily (Stratton) Lancaster. Mrs. Blanch was a past president of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary of West Enfield, and enjoyed reading. She was a hard worker, had a great sense of humor, and was a good mother to her children. She is survived by her husband, James Blanch; three children, Laura and David Cook of Enfield, Kenneth Blanch of West Enfield, and Judy and Bill Murphy of Enfield; three grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Murphy, and Angela Cook; a brother, Durwood Lancaster of Toledo, Ohio; two nephews, Dan and David Lancaster; two nieces, Kristine Lancaster and Rebecca Holden. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, with the Rev Jack Hyland officiating. Spring interment will be in the West Enfield cemetery.
