ORLAND – Phyllis (Reynolds) Soper, 89, died Nov. 30, 2006, at a Penobscot Nursing Home. She was born July 27, 1917, in Rockland, the daughter of Russell and Carrie (Williams) Reynolds. Phyllis enjoyed crocheting, music, doing ceramics, collecting dolls and her dog, Kissy. She is survived by three brothers, Raymond of Blue Hill, Joseph of Alabama and Calvin of Florida; two sisters, Olive of Levant and Mona of Bangor; one brother-in-law, Lewis; several nieces and nephews, including Lewis Soper and his wife, Linda, of Orland and Lawrence Soper and his wife, Sheila, of Bucksport; also several great-nephews and great-nieces. She will also be remembered by many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell S. Soper, Dec. 21, 2001; one daughter, Donna Estey; and one son, Rodney Soper; two brothers, Guy and Albert; three sisters, Verna, Helen and Lillian. The family would like to give thanks to all the staff that took wonderful care of Phyllis at the Penobscot Nursing Home and a special thanks to Marjorie Wardwell. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements by the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
