GARLAND – Phyllis R. Scott, 76, died Oct. 24, 2005, at her home. She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Garland, the daughter of Raymond and Willow (Bagley) Campbell. A lifelong resident of Garland, she worked for many years along beside her husband on their farm in Garland. She enjoyed playing Beano at her card parties and was a longtime member of the Garland Auxiliary. Everyday Phyllis and Edward would go for a walk together along with her dog, Gidget. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward L. Scott of Garland; six sons and their wives, Frank and Vickie Scott of Garland, Keith Scott of Charleston, Rodney and Roberta Scott of Garland, Jeff and Blakena Scott of St. Albans, Barry and Teresa Scott of Garland, Karl and Sheila Scott of Garland, 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Isabelle and John Heald of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Sanford. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Charleston Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Garland.
